Picture(s) A Day – 27 January 2010
By Parrothead Jeff, on 28 January 2010
NO OVERTIME YESTERDAY
!!!
Still, I needed to get some sleep, but I wanted to get these pics posted so I’m going minimalist with the time I have on my breaks
We had rain most of the day yesterday in Las Vegas, but it didn’t affect us too much at work. Instead, it gave some nice texture to the sky

27 January 2010 - Evening light on the mountains and a rainbow

27 January 2010 - Clouds on the mountains

27 January 2010 - Clouds off to the west
But I wasn’t just out and about to look at the clouds
No, I was on my way to New Frontier Armory in the northern part of the Las Vegas valley

27 January 2010 - New Frontier Armory - Cool AR-15 rifles

27 January 2010 - New Frontier Armory - Cool AR-15 rifles

27 January 2010 - New Frontier Armory - AK-47s are still affordable
These folks are very professional, very knowledgeable, and they also have the lowest prices in town
I’m seriously considering selling or trading my AK-47 to get an AR-15, especially after seeing these prices. Yes, I still love AKs, but they are HEAVY.

27 January 2010 - New Frontier Armory - Great poster

27 January 2010 - New Frontier Armory - Love the shirts

27 January 2010 - New Frontier Armory - They've got cool gear, too 8)
It’s not all guns – they’ve got plenty of camping/survival gear, too

27 January 2010 - New Frontier Armory - Now, THAT's what I like to see!!!
Now this is what I call awesome
I’ve been to many gun stores that don’t allow customers to carry their firearms while they shop. Not this one. These guys stand by their principles

27 January 2010 - New Frontier Armory - This is one great gun store
If you missed the link above, here’s one you can’t miss
Check these guys out – they’re the real deal when it comes to good products and (so far) excellent customer service!
I also did a couple of stitched panoramas as well. Just thought y’all might like those

Well, that’s about it for now so have a great day
What are those red signs? I clicked on and made the picture bigger, but can’t read them. Looks like the blue ones we have for evacuation routes.
Plus, wow, you had rain?!? I’m all pissy bec. we might get snow this weekend. They are backing off it a little bit, but still forecasting a HIGH in the 20s for Saturday. Fun.
And I LOVE the part about “criminals are not welcome in this store” — as opposed to MOST places that allow them in. ;) That’s cool.
I think those are just advertisements – I’ve never seen evacuation signs around here
We’re looking cool and windy, but it doesn’t matter much to me – I’ll be working both days
Yeah, it’s a cool place alright
OT for the pay period as of today is 41 hours. It is just regular OT and no double plus stuff. But at 37.31/hour it adds up!
Great job, Glenn
I look at it this way – a little sacrifice for lots of fun later on
Walmart Run to Lancaster!
