MAJOR VOICE AND DATA OUTAGE IN SO-CALI don’t know what the cause of the trouble is, but something like 28 T3 circuits are down hard. It happened rather suddenly. A T3 circuit is 28 T1 circuits. A T1 circuit is 24 phone lines. These aren’t directly feeding customers – they’re the links over the network that makes up a city’s information infrastructure. More when I know more… UPDATE It looks to be coming back up, but no idea of the cause. Oh yeah, it was three OC-48 circuits.  4 comments to MAJOR VOICE AND DATA OUTAGE IN SO-CAL |

This wasn’t weather related and I don’t know the actual cause, but it sounds like equipment problems.
Roaches or squirrels.
It could be, but I just hope it doesn’t do anything like that again
