Picture(s) A Day – 28 December 2010 – New Camera!

Hey there!  You might have thought I’d dropped off the face of the earth, but I’ve just been busy   Overtime followed by more overtime on top of still more overtime has been the norm at work lately.  Rains in California turned out to be record setting and had an unexpectedly severe effect on telecommunications.

I showed up to work on Tuesday at 0700 hours and got what I think are some pretty decent pictures   Oh yeah, I did get a really awesome new camera for Christmas   It’s a Fuji FinePix XP10 that’s waterproof t0 10 feet, dustproof, freezeproof, and can take a one meter fall onto plywood without damage.  I keep finding myself in dust storms, snow storms, rain storms, and thunderstorms so this should be a great piece of equipment for my purposes

I somehow found the energy to go back down to the Forum Shops at Caesers Palace after work last night.  My destination was the Sony Style store and my goal was to purchase an e-reader.  I was successful and I now have a Sony PRS-300 which is pretty cool

I also figured I’d finally get a chance to try out my new camera in a very photogenic environment as well   I think the pics all turned out rather well
