The road in winter, 30 December 2010

This is of our trip between Santa Rosa and Gallup, in NM. It is about 260 miles. It took six and a half hours. It was basically two separate blizzards. The first part was between Santa Rosa and Moriarty. The second began about Acoma/Sky City just west of Laguna.

The picture of the pickup and trailer is in the Motel Six parking lot in Gallup. It had been sitting about ten minutes. We ordered from Domino’s for supper. I did fuel prior to this. That way we just rolled on out yesterday morning.

We got home last night about 2100. I unloaded and dropped off this morning. And there is a winter storm warning for SE Kern County for tomorrow through Monday. It could snow on the desert floor!

Oh, how much I hate driving in snow! And you were pulling a trailer, too. Glad you got there AND back safe. (You got so many presents you had to rent a U-Haul????) ;)

Not so much presents as bringing the remainder of our stuff to California.
It was an interesting day on Thursday, that’s for sure.
