Voyages on Two Wheels – 23 July 2011 – Hard Rock Hotel and Red Rock Canyon

I didn’t have any big plans for this weekend. All I wanted to do was to de-stress after another long week at work. Of course a motorcycle ride was in order, but where to go and what to do? Dinner at the Hard Rock sounded good

I’d never really looked at the motorcycle parking lot at the Hard Rock, but there were quite a few machines there yesterday

After dinner I headed south on the Strip. The weather here is still HOT!!! I’m looking forward to autumn

To end the day, I wanted to arrive at Red Rock Canyon at just the right time. That’s about 1945 hours this time of year. It’s the time when the sun is going down in the valleys between the peaks of the cliff faces. I managed to get it right and got the pics I wanted

The panorama pics turned out really nice! And palm trees, you know I love to see the palm trees on the streets.

(And, look, I’m so dorky, I’m thinking what a good idea for the bikes to stick together and park in one spot. I didn’t know they had separate parking. Duh.)

That Ducati is just freakin’ scary it’s so cool!

I like red rock and palm trees, so this all worked out great for me

Not everywhere has separate motorcycle parking, but it’s nice when they do and it’s very visible which is a deterrent to criminals

And that Ducati? It’s freaking awesome, but you won’t catch me on one anytime soon for a couple reasons. First, there’s no way I could afford it and second I’d die very quickly on something that fast
