Un-Fair – Racism Rears its Ugly Head in WisconsinYou’re damn right it is, but not in the way that they mean it. You see, the University of Wisconsin Duluth-Superior is conducting a campaign against racism. Only they’re being decidedly racist in the way that they do it. From the article on Mediaite.com:
Here’s one of the graphics they’re using: ![]() This is one of the images used by the University of Wisconsin Duluth-Superior in their “Un-Fair” campaign. Did you read the tag line under “Un-Fair” that says, “It’s hard to see racism when you’re white” or did I just imagine that? No, I didn’t imagine it. They’re focusing on how the world is supposedly set up for white people and how bad it is that other races are downtrodden because of it. I ran into similar thinking back at Palomar Community College. A student there called me racist and I called her out on it. I asked what I’d ever done to make her say that. She tried to dodge by saying that I didn’t know what it was like to be called racial slurs and be spit at. I came back each time asking for a specific example of what I had PERSONALLY done to make her accuse me of being a racist. Her response? She said, “It’s not you – It’s your race.” I asked her if she was saying I was racist because I’m white and only because of my skin color. She confirmed that she was. A few seconds later I think she might have realized what a fool she made of herself because she stormed out in a huff. Excuse me while I go puke. If this isn’t racism, I don’t know what is. 2 comments to Un-Fair – Racism Rears its Ugly Head in Wisconsin |

Not sure how this campaign will help — seems more that it would cause you to see racism everywhere you looked and in every person you talked to.
More like spreading it, not stopping it.
That’s part of it. My problem is that they’re just re-pointing fingers.
