29 June 2013 – Adventures with Ember
It is getting really rather late, but I had a couple of things to post so I’m going to try to be quick about it.
Saturday was a good day with Ember
I’d stopped by Walmart a bit earlier in the day and saw that they’d had some neat stuff in the parking lot. I figured I’d return with Ember for a few pictures and saw this on the way back over there.
Yep – it’s a coal train Coal is how Carbon County got its name and we ship a bunch of it to China
Bikers Against Child Abuse looks to be a pretty cool organization I’ve seen them at quite a few events and I’m strongly considering joining soon! One of the guys let Ember sit on his Road King and gave her a couple of temporary tattoos and an American Flag
I don’t know who had more fun with this – Ember or the good ol’ boy biker
The Utah Highway Patrol, Price Fire Department, Price Police Department, Carbon County Sheriff’s Department, and a few other organizations were also there. I didn’t know until then that we now have a local air ambulance Yep, this A-Star will be parked at the hospital 24/7 soon (it’s there during the day and will be there at night once the perimeter fence gets built) and will drastically cut response times. The only thing the chopper company asks for keeping the machine ready to go at the hospital is that they’re the first call. I’m glad they’re here
That’s all for now – I’ve gotta go get some sleep. Have a good night
