The Camcorder Has Arrived!

This is going to be a very short post, but there will soon be another on the subject which will contain much more information .

THE CAMCORDER HAS ARRIVED !!!

The nice UPS guy dropped it off earlier tonight and I spent quite some time fiddling with it and checking it over. I was halfway worried about buying the “demo” model, but this was a deal that could not be beat with a stick. The camera was sealed in it’s own plastic bag (I don’t know if B&H did this or if it was factory sealed in the bag), all the parts were there, and there was ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS OF USE . The only way I could tell that it wasn’t ablolutely completely brand new was that the seal on the box was broken .

I’ve decided to try out the time lapse feature – called “smooth interval recording” by Sony. The camcorder is currently hooked up to the AC adapter and is filming one of my fish in total darkness at the rate of one frame per second. I just love that NightShot feature which shoots in infrared ! It’s also kinda fun to point the camera at a TV remote and push the buttons. Trust me – you have no idea how much those little things flash .

Anywho, I’m off to research infrared chemlights and LEDs for future projects .
