As the daughter of a D.O.D. Federal Police Officer (15 years of service, now a Operations Manager for a private security company), I can say that I have never touched a gun for any hostile reason. I have target practiced with Jeff and his family members before. I am positive that Jeff and I would both trust each other with gun ownership.
On another note...my brother and I used to play "Duck Hunt" on the original Nintendo with the old zapper gun. Neither one of us are serial killers/mass murderers. We even thought it was fun to play "Road Rash" in which the player takes part in illegal street bike racing, knocking people off their bikes with various weapons....and you can knock cops off their bikes when they try to pull you over. It's a matter of knowing the difference between video game and reality. We knew that there were no consequences in the video game, whereas, in real life, we would certainly face a ton of trouble. (Not to mention neither one of us would want anyone to actually get hurt.)
