No, They Weren’t FORCED to Open a WhorehouseWCBSTV.com – wcbstv.com – Housing Market Slump Forces Couple To Open Brothel
Stop the ACLU – Housing Slump ‘Forces’ Pair to Open Whorehouse?
I’ve gotta say, this strikes me two ways. First, it’s legal to run a house of prostitution in certain parts of Nevada – might want to move Many people are in the same boat – they can’t afford thier houses because the rate went up. It’s not my fault. It’s not Bush’s fault. It’s their fault. They signed the papers and made the considered and conscious decision to take on hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt knowing that the rate could increase in the future which would also increase their monthly payments. Add to that the fact in this case that these people were mortgage brokers and knew better than most the consequences of signing those documents. Markets aren’t just going to continue to increase constantly and interest rates won’t always be low. It’s common sense. So they tried to rent and later to sell, but were unsuccessful. Guess what? Life just kicks you sometimes and you’ve gotta take the lumps. Foreclosures happen. Reposessions happen. You work through it, learn from it, and move on. Opening a business is a great idea. If your payments go up – make more money! One good idea for a career change for these people that I could suggest is retail auto sales. If they’re mortgage brokers, then they’ve got the skills. People will buy cars no matter what’s going on. The one flaw in their plan – prostitution is ILLEGAL where they live. Common sense says to keep the business legal. Don’t run drugs, don’t run guns, and don’t engage in prostitution. Aside from the cops, the local New York crime families may take offense at having new competition – and you don’t want that So, no they weren’t forced into anything at all. They made a considered, conscious decision after weighing all the options and the consequences of their actions. H/T to Stop the ACLU |
