Neptunus Lex - No brainer?
The Cornyn Amendment:
To express the sense of the Senate that General David H. Petraeus, Commanding General, Multi-National Force-Iraq, deserves the full support of the Senate and strongly condemn personal attacks on the honor and integrity of General Petraeus and all members of the United States Armed Forces.
Yeah, Lex, it should have been a “no brainer.” Sadly that’s not the case these days in the U.S. Senate.
I’m surprised both at some of those who voted “yea” and some who voted “nay.” John “I served in Vietnam” Kerry voted nay. Hillary voted nay. That’s a bit surprising, but what shocked me was that Dianne Feinstein voted yea
! Credit where it’s due
.
Comparing this vote to future statements should be entertaining…
Not surprising is that Harry Reid from Nevada voted nay. Note to Reid - I’ll be working against you in the next election cycle.
Full lists of Democrats voting for and against after the jump. Republicans aren’t being listed as none of them voted against it.
