The BD-5J Microjet – Something Else I’ve Always Wanted

BD-MICRO – BD-5J

I’ve always wanted one of these, well ever since I saw the Bud Light Silver Bullet microjet at airshows when I was growing up. Sure, I knew about the one in the James Bond movie Octopussy, but that didn’t have the cool factor it does now. I just knew it was small, jet powered, would fit in a garage, and I wanted one !

The history of the BD-5 is long and somewhat clouded in controversy, but Bede Corp is back in business and BD Micro is producing three different BD-5 kits – one for each different powerplant. Yep, you can now go with piston power, turbojet, or turboprop ! BD Micro’s pricing can be found here (.pdf).

Yet another addition to my list of things to buy when I finally get the big bucks .

Thanks for the thought and for stopping by to say hi I really wish I had enough $$$ just to get my private pilot’s license – the BD-5 would be a fun way to use it if I could get a bit more!
