Yes, I’m up a bit late, but it’s for a good purpose – I’ve been working on another slide show movie

I saw this Jeep when I stopped at the gas station on my way to work and just had to get a picture

Due to lack of funding, it’s been several months since Trevor (yes, for those who don’t know I named my car after a character in a Jimmy Buffett book) has had a bath and I just couldn’t stand it anymore.

She looks so good in the sun when she’s clean

I’ve shown pictures of one of these before, but it was a bit different. There are quite a few flash flood retention basins around town to keep more stuff from washing away than can be helped when it rains in the monsoon season. I’ve seen over two inches of rain fall in about 30 minutes and it all has to go somewhere. I like this idea as long as no rain is forecast.

Just across the street from the park, there’s another retention basin that hasn’t been “improved.”

And one more taken especially for Kath Here’s another street in northwest Las Vegas. I think it’s pretty interesting how different all those streets can look in this diverse city

Here’s hoping you like these I’ll try to get the new slide show up soon, but I’ll also be posting the pictures which is going to take time. You see, the website can only upload and deal with up to two megabyte photos when using the blog interface. I want people to be able to see the real full size version of each picture, so I’m going to have to upload a different way and create other size versions of some of the pictures…

Anyway, I’m off to catch the late show on the backs of my eyelids.
