WASHINGTON — A bench warrant was issued Thursday for antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan, who did not appear for arraignment Thursday in a Washington, D.C., courtroom to face charges related to her Sept. 10 disorderly conduct arrest on Capitol Hill.

She says she didn’t know about it. I call B.S. I had a traffic ticket once - and only once . I didn’t notice that no left hand turn during certain hours had become no left turn at all and got busted. You’d better believe that due-by date (pay the fine or show up in court) was etched in my brain until traffic school was completed and the fine paid. If nothing else, she needs better legal council.

Interesting side note - Ms. Sheehan is running against Pelosi for Congress because she claims Pelosi hasn’t done enough to lose surrender end the war in Iraq. Not that she has a chance as Pelosi is Speaker of the House and positions of power like that make one highly re-electable due to pork-barrel politics and all. Something tells me that Pelosi’s power and the San Francisco area’s views on the war aside, this will torpedo any chance she ever had at winning. After all, how can you trust someone to lose surrender end the war in Iraq and bring home the bacon if they can’t remember a freaking court date???
