Canon PowerShot A1000 IS vs. LG Shine CellphoneOK, I just had to do it I took a picture with my cellphone and then immediately followed it up with the Canon. I still can’t believe the difference So here we have a side by side comparison. You can somewhat see what I hoped to demonstrate in the small pictures on the blog. Talk about poles apart from one another  From the LG Shine Cellphone - No Zoom Available I used my cellphone for the first picture just like I’ve done for quite a while now. Nice picture, but still a bit fuzzy around the edges.  Canon PowerShot A1000 IS - Zoomed to Wide Angle  Canon PowerShot A1000 IS - Zoomed to Telephoto The next two pictures came from the new Canon. Notice the sharpness of the light over the freeway in the center of the frame. Heck, the whole thing looks better! You lasted pretty long with just the cell phone. And aren’t you, yourself, amazed at the pictures it took?? I am.
This looks like a very fun camera with enough extras to make it fun to use and try stuff, without a million add-ons you would never use. Ooops, gotta go, I just got an e-mail from someone.
The cellphone sure amazed me – for a cellphone
I must confess, I’m a camera geek. If it has a feature, I’ll find an excuse to use it! I currently own more cameras than most people do during a lifetime. There’s the three or four Polaroid Land Cameras with flash guns and flashbulbs, the Yashica TLRs, the two Canon SLRs, the camcorder, cellphone, and now this.
Oh yeah, I’ll have fun
