CAIRO, Egypt — Al Qaeda’s No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri harshly criticized Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi in a new audio tape Saturday, accusing him of being an enemy of Islam and threatening a wave of attacks against the North African country because it improved relations with the United States.
There are times when I really feel like I’m living in some science fiction alternate reality. Growing up during the Cold War, I remember the Iron Curtain, the Berlin Wall, MiGs being secret, exotic aircraft, and the leader of Lybia being U.S. Enemy #1 for supporting terrorists.
These days there is no Iron Curtain, sections of the Berlin Wall can be found at CIA Headquarters and as part of a wall in a Las Vegas casino men’s’ room, MiGs are privately owned and flown at airshows for pleasure, and the same leader of Lybia - Muammar Gadhafi is being called an Amercan lap dog by Al Qaeda - an Islamofacist terror organization
