Four weeks! And other sundrie stuffOK, so tomorrow is actually four weeks since the kidney came out. The big incision has lost almost all it’s scab. Sounds Ick! I have an appointment on Thursday to get my “up chit” It will also be the release so I can start the new job in California. The Missus and I are heading west on November 1. We are taking some small stuff including an AeroBed for me to sleep on in whatever house we find. Plus some kitchen stuff, towels and the like. The sister-in-law has a sofa for us to use, so that is covered. We will have to procure a refrigerator as most of the rentals on line don’t have one for some reason. We have a list of 14 houses in California City that we want to look at. Rosamond is a bit high priced due to it’s being right outside the main gate at Edwards. Palmdale and Lancaster are a bit further than we like from the base and they tend to have LA type problems. And Mojave is like a reservation town in Montana. I will have my laptop with me but it may be a bit before I can get internet service. I will tell the world when we hit the road. US 54 to I-40 t0 CA 58! 2 comments to Four weeks! Congrats! But I want pictures from the road
They will be there once we get rolling west. I Hope to hit west of Flagstaff during daylight hours to get shots of Seligman, known in the animated world as Radiator Springs. And “Life is a Highway” is a Tom Cochrane song. Rascal Flatts did the cover. Part of the Tom Cochrane video was shot in a part of Alberta that yours truly is familiar with.
