Announcement. Been thinking about this for awhile.I have decided to do a narrative, perspective, reaction, feelings blog. It is about my cancer. I have started a blog at Blogger for this. It was easy for me to do. It will be where I can let the things, thoughts, concerns and such out. And throw in a few pictures that I will not post here out of deference to Kath. She has been good to me through this. It is the least I can do. This blog will remain my primary. That is a given. Jeff was kind enough to take the chance to let me post. And I do appreciate it greatly. The other may go away, eventually. And he knew going in that it could be rough and tumble. It is the nature of the beast as it were. So this one will have the pics of the Grandkids and other sometimes mundane things that are part of daily life.And ships and airplanes with launch bars and tailhooks. Well except that now they will have so much more meaning. And it is simply the right thing to have them here on this blog. Cause now, nothing is mundane, not even the sun coming up or going down. But as I said a couple of weeks ago about perspective, after seeing the report on the blind kid playing football. I refuse to complain about it. I have been given an 85 percent after the surgery. And at 55, that is a good number. It means I will be around for quite awhile. And having a scan every year around my birthday won’t hurt either. I have some granddaughters that I am going to dance with at their weddings. So, I will still be here and remain my lovable self. And there will still be a Santa Maria Barbeque when we are settled in following the move. I am issuing invites to Lex, Pinch, Karla and her gang, Chrissie, Swampie, Joy and the rest including an old shipmate. And I will have the sisters-in-law in Palmdale and Oceanside there also. And we are going to enjoy the sunset over the Tehachipi Mountains. And here is what the lovable self looks like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-) It was a nice day with the Missus, Daughter, Granddaughter and my two nieces! Now we just need a bigger picture
You are going to be even busier, but that’s good, right? And can’t wait to see pictures of the new place, the new state and everything that goes with it!!
Glenn, think of all the things you’ve already done in your life and the bazillion more you want to do in the future — that’s what will make that 85 percent number go to 100.
Give me a bit on the bigger picture, OK?
It seems like a good idea. But who knows. I already got on another blogroll at Perri Nelson’s website. He is a Northwest guy that I occasionally banter with. And having spent many years in Western Washington, it was a good fit. I just have to figure how to do the RSS thing.
As for busy, we may take off from here on the 30th. It may give us a bit more time to finda place to live.
I got my physical form today so I can take it to the Doc for the release this afternoon. Yeah!!!!!! The HR lady even said she was glad things went well.
