Picture(s) A Day – 5 November 2009

Life happens.  I feel I’ve been using that phrase entirely too often lately, but I don’t quite know how else to say it.  Lots going on behind the scenes that shouldn’t really be brought out in public if you know what I mean.

Still, I’ve managed to get some pics the last couple of days.  Yesterday’s pics didn’t turn out nearly like I thought they would, so I hope three panoramas from Thursday will suffice :)   I’d stopped by the book store to get the fourth Harry Potter book and saw this when I came out 8)

I was used to seeing many incredible sunsets in San Diego as there’s usually a few clouds in the sky.  That’s not really the case here in Las Vegas.  We get a wonderful glow most nights, but not the rich color that clouds give.

As always, make sure to click on the panoramas to download the big version, then click on that to see the full size image

I will do better in getting decent pictures and get them posted in a reasonable period of time.

Have a great day everyone

That sky color is wonderful. You are really getting good evening/dusk, whatever you want to call it, pictures with that camera. Of course, I know the camera operator knows what he’s doing ;) , but still — those are nice pictures.

Kailua had some nice sunrises. High plains and desert just can’t be beat, in my opinion. They just don’t make ‘em like that in the Southeast…now & then there’s something noteworthy, but usually it’s like the ‘weather’ – or lack thereof – and just not terribly inspirational. ONCE in awhile, though, because of some unusual patterns somewhere, there’s a few really kick-ass sunrises or sunsets. It just has to be enough.

  • Sounds like you’ve been around to a few more places than me  I’m just glad when we have some more real color around here.

I think I must be just a tad spoiled
