Yeah, I know I’m running a bit behind and all.  I don’t know what did it to me, but I was definitely feeling rather sick on Monday.  I was also more than a bit tired on Sunday night when I uploaded these pics after a fun day in the desert.  Still, here’s hoping y’all like ‘em

Trigger time in the desert anyone ?  Nothing threatening is meant by any of these pictures – we’re just having some fun with the camera on the tripod

Aaron (in the black tank top) is one of my coworkers who just got his first gun – the silver Mossberg 590   He likes it pretty well and I think it rocks   8 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber means that you’re not very short on firepower

The other people in the picture are Aaron’s girlfriend Julie and his other friend Steve.  Both of them have some experience with firearms.  Steve brought his new Glock with him and Julie’s going to get her first firearm pretty soon, too.

I brought my 12 gauge, 9mm, Ruger 10/22, Heritage Rough Rider, and my Mosin M44.  They all seemed to think the M44 was loud for some reason…

Yeah, we had some fun and something tells me we’ll be back out there again before too long

8 November 2009 - Sunset near the California/Nevada Border

I couldn’t pass up a sunset panorama, now could I?  Click on the picture to download it and then click again to see the true full size.  If you look at the left panel, you’ll see some lights in the distance.  That’s I-15 and Primm right on the border between California and Nevada.  Yes, we were very close to the border with the People’s Republik of Kali
