Even I’m Not Twisted Enough To Do ThisSure, I like to sit by the window on commercial flights and watch the wingtips bounce. That said, I don’t intentionally try to cause anxiety in that environment and I’ll even go out of my way to minimize it if I can. In August of 1972, I almost got to join the mile-high club. I was able to explain to the cute little number next to me on a Hughes Airwest DC-9-32 why the wings moved. She was ready to take me aft to the toilet and go for it. I still haven’t figured that one out, even at 55. And she made Gloria Steinam’s rack look like balloon ballast. Sorry for that Kath.
I’ve never had that happen, although I can’t say it would be a bad thing at all
I have been able to explain that to some other passengers at times for which they were pretty grateful
