Near Riots as College Students Face Reality

I found this over on David Codrea’s War on Guns and while I’d like to say that I’m appalled at the behaviour of these kids and that I’m shocked at the thought of raising tuition that much, I’d be lying    The (some would say sad) fact of the matter is that I’m quietly laughing my alpha off here in my office in Las Vegas.

I think David has a pretty good line on this one:

Hey, it’s not like the Marxists on the university payroll–or any of the cops behind the barricades–wouldn’t be rioting if they had to take a 32% pay cut. Besides, somebody planted the idea in the the students’ heads that the world owes them an education.

Video here.

It’s not that I don’t feel sorry for them having to pay more for their education than they thought they would, it’s that they expect that lower cost education to be subsidizedby the tax payers of California with the funding allocated by the State.  In these economic times, other priorities are more important to the legislators in Sacramento.  Things like health care and welfare and all the other programs that the liberals elected by the People of California need to ensure their reelection.

With this in mind, I wonder how the students would react?  Surely they don’t want to cut down on free meals for kids with cellphones?  How would they solve the crisis?

You’re welcome to do as you please, but I won’t be holding my breath waiting for an answer from the students that includes anything other than “Gimme!” or “But I want an education NOW!!!

And yes, this is another reason I escaped from the People’s Republik and am an expatriated Kalifornian    That and the fact that my AK-47 isn’t welcome there among many others…
