  • You SHALL be disciplined!

  • And on second thought, that *would* be something to see since you guys haven’t “Beat Navy” since the first Roosevelt administration, I think.

  • Heh. I follow “flynavy” on twitter and those guys have posted some REALLY great snark about the game in the last couple o’ few… samples:

Does West Point teach land navigation anymore? Because their football team can’t seem to find the end zone. #BeatArmy

Good thing Army football has some seniors on team. Only ones there last time Army scored a TD vs Navy (2006). #BeatArmy

Football is a game of inches. And that’s as far Army’s offense can move the ball. #BeatArmy

    Heh. Good thing I don’t have a dog in this fight… :)

Yeah, good thing you don’t have a dog in this fight, Buck!! What, you think I forgot about SN-2???

And, gee whiz, thanks EVER so much for “twitters”!!! Brat!

      :) :)

      • SN2 is the Official Black Sheep of the family and the butt of much derision and snide comments… mostly in jest. But not entirely. :)

Our cultural/professional/familial roots go back to the Army, of course… seeing as how we were part of it until 1947.

This game was sometimes a very wild event at our house as a kid. And having done the Sea going thing myself, well…..GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY! Got a dog in this fight and I have to work tomorrow. Bummer! Duty weekend, even in the civil service.

  • Well.. 1:27 left in the game and Army only got a field goal. Wow. That’s a helluva long string of ignominy, there.

Great hopes in the first half — but it was a better game than some I’ve seen.

So the shirts are gently set aside –until NEXT YEAR!! Go Army!!

      :)
