The unpacking begins and other notes

Here at Schloss Sharon und Glenn in the Beautiful Antelope Valley beneath the picturesque Tehachapi Mountains it has begun. I started unpacking boxes marked kitchen. And I  have even done three loads of laundry.

Sharon is having to keep her feet elevated, still   The burns are beginning to heal. The bills are going to Penske. Even the ones that Tricare covers.

Last Sunday started the trips to the Urgent care facility in Lancaster. That made for long days with no earned leave yet. We spent Sunday for about 5 hours there and made it home shortly before dark. Monday and Tuesday were in bed by midnight after getting up at 0500 to go to work and then in the door at 1700 and out to the clinic in Lancaster by 1710 to be on time for her appointment/wait. She found a place in Tehachapi to go to instead. A Tricare Provider! There are a fair number of AF active and civilian living up there, so it works.  It is closer with less traffic than Lancaster/Palmdale. It was a short trip and there are businesses and stuff handy to the clinic. There is a branch of our bank in Tehachapi, also. It looks like a good place to retire in.
