21 December 2009 - Winter Solstice

It’s that time of the year again – the winter solstice.  Today in Las Vegas, the sun rose at 0647 and set at 1629.  While I’m no fan of the excessive heat in summer here, the winters are in my mind worse.  Yes, I have a lower electric bill.  No, I don’t like leaving work at 1630 and having it be practically night time already.

At least we know it’s almost Christmas, right ?

  Ah, winter. It was dark when I arrived at work, it had long been dark when I left… every danged day. I absolutely, positively hated that.
