Another Load of Complete Bravo Sierra From the Military High CommandI don’t know about the rest of y’all, but I’m absolutely no fan of terrorists. Hell, I’m just glad we’ve got good guys and gals overseas killing the Mike Foxtrotting bastards on a daily basis. They’re scum who deserve nothing more than to exit this plane of existence. They don’t deserve to live. That said, I’m also no fan of gun control or registration. Registration has historically led to confiscation. Just ask the Jews of Germany or the people of formerly Great Britain. Don’t forget the owners of those SKS rifles in California, either. On top of that, how do they expect it to work? Is every person who intends to commit a crime going to make sure to register their intended murder weapons before they commit the act? Really? I don’t have a problem with discussing my firearms as you may have noticed in the past, but that’s a personal decision. And good luck reading a serial number in the pics I could pick this thing apart for hours. Of course they chose an AK-47 as it’s the “preferred weapon of the enemy” and looks so scary to people who aren’t “gun people.” But I digress. People aren’t terrorists for not registering their weapons. They’re Citizens. Terrorists are people who intentionally harm innocents or aid those who do. Major Hassan was a terrorist and he would have been one whether or not any of the guns he used were registered. Yes, my two handguns are registered with Clark County – it was automatic when they were purchased and I had the choice to have a gun or not. But none of my long guns are registered. Yes, I’ll have my future C&R guns entered in my “bound book” while I’m licensed, but then again that book is my book and I’m free to do with it as I please once I stop collecting. I repeat, it’s my book, not the government’s. There’s a big difference there. If my failure to register all of my firearms makes me a terrorist in some people’s eyes, well I guess that’s their belief structure and it’s still a marginally free country. Personally, I don’t give a shit. Hat tip to Random Nuclear Strikes |
