Three months ago, today……………………………………………By Glenn Mark Cassel AMH1(AW) USN Retired, on 21 December 2009
The picture is at Somewhere in The Antelope Valley under the appropriate page. The one that says kidney cancer. It was taken a few days after the surgery that took place on the 21st of September. Precisely three months ago today and on a Monday morning. I guess I now have cause to really dislike Mondays but it was a good thing. It was the having to be there at 0530 that was the pain. Definitely a wild ride. Not one that I would recommend but a wild ride none the less. One thing I did not do was the “why me?” It was just the hand I was dealt. And I drew to a fairly good hand afterwards. I have a spare kidney and it is doing just fine! I hope that doesn’t sound to morbid but it is fact and nothing else. Congrats on the occasion
You’ve got an outlook on this that should be a model for others to follow.
And we’ve had three more months of fun with Glenn. May it never end, sir.
Many Thanks, guys. I appreciate it, Greatly.
