Maybe or probably -- or whatever word you want to use -- previous administrations didn't listen to the American people, whether in general or in part, but at least you were given the impression that someone MIGHT listen to you!! Right now it's either agree with us or get out of the way. No bones about it. Period. End of conversation. YOU are too trivial to deal with. The bus is in gear, has been put in motion, and you will get run over. Not that Rush is my favorite person, but if you just listen to what he has to say he ALWAYS, in my opinion, makes some good points — this being one of them.
