This is going to be a fairly quick post, but I haven’t done a “last post of the day” in a while and some people might have the mistaken notion that I’ve lost some of the Buffett in my life. Not true ! The first time I heard “Love and Luck” was on the “Buffett [...] James Horner has written the musical score for a multitude of Oscar winning films including Apollo 13 and Titanic. What I didn’t know until recently is that he’s also an avid aviation fan and a licensed pilot as well. Now he’s teamed up with The Horsemen after becoming good friends with the guys on the [...] This song entered my life quite a few years ago thanks to Adrienne – it was one of her favorites and it’s still one of mine today. It’s another one of those tunes that works for a few different times – like when stuff is going downhill fast or when you just can’t sleep because [...] I don’t know about the rest of you out there, but there’s a few songs I like to listen to on certain occasions. When I’ve had one helluva day (or in this case one helluva weekend), I can find it difficult to get any shuteye. The stuff just kinda swirls around in my subconscious and [...] It’s been a while since we’ve had a “last post of the day” and it seems like a pretty good time for one tonight I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but this has been one of my favorite songs since it came out. This one’s one of those tunes I turn to in times when work and life in general start getting to be a bit much. Today’s one of those days. I know, it’s different and the first time I’ve done this on a “Last Post of the Day” but I’m in a bit of a different mood tonight. I’m a big fan of the TV show “Firefly” and the movie “Serenity” that was [...] I sometimes feel I’m getting a bit old, but maybe I was just raised old fashioned. I’ve talked with several people around the office about music and I’ve been shocked that most had never heard of the groups and performers I grew up watching at the Wild Animal Park during the summer concerts.
