Someone tell me how this was an illegal act. No threat was made. No person was physically harmed. Nobody has even said who owned the property in question. With all that in mind, please tell me how and why someone was charged with a “hate crime.” Continue reading Freedom In Peril – In New York
I gotta get me one of these !!!
OK everyone – time to step up and help me bring the title back to Las Vegas !!! Who’ll help me? Financial contributions are welcome and necessary if we’re to break this record .
Somthing I really enjoy but rarely got to experience in San Diego is thunderstorms. They’re much more frequent here in Las Vegas, but only for a short time during the summer monsoon season. We’ve been so dry for so long that I’d nearly forgotten what humidity feels like. Tonight was a welcome change. Continue reading Lightning & Thunder
I found this today over at The Woodshed. A very touching video to say the least, but go on over and read the story behind it, too.
Great job to all involved!
Hat tip to Steve at The Woodshed.
I moved to Las Vegas on October 26, 2004. Not a month later, I stood on the flightline at Nellis Air Force Base at Aviation Nation 2004. I knew this was the last time I would get the chance to see my favorite jet of all time, the mighty F-14 Tomcat in the air and I was not about to miss it. I was there Saturday and Sunday.
I can’t remember who the pilot was for this flight, just that he seriously kicked ass. Made the rest look tame. Stole the Thunderbirds’ thunder. I have never seen another jet do such a low transition (pull the gear up at low altitude) as this guy did. Continue reading Tomcat’s Last West Coast Hurrah
So I got an email from my old boss Marty from the car business the other day – what’s up?
Recently got another email from one of my highschool girlfriends I hadn’t heard from in about 12 years getting back in touch – what’s up?
It all kind of hit me – what is up? Where is everyone I used to know? What are they doing now? Where are they? Married? Single? Still alive? Happy?
I went and looked at the alumni page for my high school – Poway High. Funny, I only recognize a couple of names. I’m only in touch with one or two of the people I knew then.
Where has it all gone? Those days of piling into the old 83 Buick Regal with friends and heading down to downtown San Diego, Coronado, anywhere we could go? Pink Floyd on the radio, careless, sometimes reckless days and nights… Continue reading Where did it go?
No, you didn’t read that wrong, the TSA told a passenger that his battery charger “looks like an IED.” Even after he demonstrated it, they still refused to let him go. It took the police to tell the TSA that they were full of hot air. How did it come to this? Go below the fold for the full story. Continue reading TSA – Battery Charger Looks Like IED
Happy Independence day – again! How much more fitting could it have been to capture the leader of the group most responsible for killing our soldiers? OK, maybe it would have been better timing if we’d gotten him on the anniversary of the capture of Baghdad. Hey, I’m just glad we got him!
