Yes, my new computer has finally been delivered :thumb: ! Actually, it’s still in my trunk after I had to go down to FedEx on my lunch break (long story) to pick it up, but it’s HERE I’ll be spending tonight partitioning, formatting, installing OS, installing drivers, and having a blast Wish me luck For those of you following the Turbine Toucan’s upgrade process, there’s news over at the website – good news You see, they’re moving into the 21st century with their most certainly composite biplane and giving it a new glass cockpit, more sensors, and more safety It appears that there’s still an eight foot tall pile of dirt outside the hangar and they don’t know what to do :wtf: . I have a suggestion – open the door, crank up the Toucan (tied down, of course But I know David’s much nicer than that :thumb: Best of luck to David and Team Toucan  ! Yeah, Air Force One sure looked good on the ramp at McCarran and it was kinda hard to miss the C-17s Good ol’ Pinch has a post up over at his place that made me question the contents and ingredients of my Diet Pepsi Max Looks like either another news outlet screwed up or Iran’s a whole lot better at copying U.S. jets than we thought. Is it just me that’s wondering :wtf: ???
I’ve gotta throw the :bs: on this one, but it’s still funny :thumb: ! OK, the part about the rifle will come in a later post, but this part is getting to me. I finally dug out my .22 rifle and figured out how to clean the action :thumb: ! What I didn’t know was that the Break Free CLP spray cleaner that was soaked into a couple of wash cloths (there to keep the drips in check) would cause the entire load of laundry to reek horribly of gun scrubber aerosol stuff I’ve tried Coca Cola, baking soda, washing four times, and a few other things, but it still stinks One of my co-workers has given me something to try. I’m running out of ideas. I’m about ready to use Formula 409. My roommate had to do laundry, so I took mine out and ran the machine with just bleach – twice – before the smell left the washing machine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Some readers may remember my post about the RyanAir calendar and all the controversy surrounding it. Sadly, I must report that I recently received a notice in the mail informing me that demand had outstripped supply in an overwhelmingly quick timeframe and that I would not be receiving a calendar. A refund was promised and just reached my bank today. Yeah, I knew that won’t hold water with a Nevada Highway Patrolman who lit me up on my way to work this morning, but it’s true. Yes, I was pulled over this morning and issued a citation for piloting my Cavalier faster than the posted speed limit. Unfortunately for me, a broken speedometer doesn’t mean a thing when it comes to how fast I was going. It’s still the responsibility of the PIC (Pilot In Command) to ensure that the vehicle is operated within the limits of the laws and rules. I was the PIC and apparently failed in that responsibility. Hit the jump for pics and more. Continue reading I SWEAR I DIDN’T KNOW HOW FAST I WAS GOING!!! Stop The ACLU » Blog Archive » HOW DO YOU SAY “PAYBACK IS A FEMALE DOG” IN SPANISH ?
Immigration – one of the most important and divisive issues I know of. Several arguments at work have popped up on this topic. I know where I stand and it’s simple. Follow the law. If you don’t like the law, change it. If that doesn’t work, you’re SOL. I’ve wanted to see the Blue Man Group for quite some time and I finally got my chance! One of my Christmas presents from Cindy was a trip to the Venetian last night for just that purpose and they surely didn’t disappoint :thumb: ! The “noise” in the picture above (got my picture taken with a Blue Man Last night’s episode of Moonlight (see my last post) included a song that I just had to search out and get somehow. A bit of Googling later, I found out that the song is “All Fall Down” by a new band called “One Republic” and is included on their debut CD “Dreaming Out Loud.” I just loved the sound from the start – acoustic guitar and cello to begin with, but then the lyrics started:
And then the lyrics that caught me and wouldn’t let go:
