As I said before, I had to cut this post into two parts. Yes, I knew this would be a heck of a weekend, so I took today off from work with [...] I can think of a few Jimmy Buffett songs that would fit my condition right now, but I’ll just quote him about it for now – “It’s my own damn fault!” Today was round 1 of my time at Aviation Nation 2009. This has been a superb airshow all around Between the quality static [...] I’ll be leaving for Nellis in just a short while. Yes, I’m running a bit late, but I really didn’t feel like waking up so early and I want to enjoy this year – no set schedule of people to meet and all In years past, I’d have been running very late at this [...] I hope y’all will understand that I don’t have a picture for today. I’ve been getting things together for this weekend’s airshow at Nellis I figure I’d post a few pics from last year – a few of my favorites. I also thought it might be a good time to try out the gallery functionality [...] All I wanted to do after work today was come home and vegetate. It’s been a heckuva week at work. With that in mind, I hope y’all understand if I dig back into the archives for something you haven’t seen yet. The F4U is one of my all time favorite warbirds with its inverted gull [...] I stumbled across the first picture in this post again while I was working on the all black and white picture post. It’s one of my favorite ever pictures of the F-117. I figured I’d share the rest of the pictures from that series here These pictures were taken at MCAS Miramar during the night [...] I have a program on my computer at work which changes my desktop background every fifteen minutes. Nellis is the home of the Thunderbirds and their last show [...] Today we look back to the “forgotten war” – Korea. Above we see the North American F-86 Sabre Jet. This was America’s best fighter during the Korean war. It was slower in a climb than its adversary the MiG-15 and couldn’t fly quite as high, but it was also faster in a dive and posessed [...] |
