OK, so it’s taken a while for me to get this post up. Yes, I’ve been a bit of a slacker, but that’s not the only reason. The rest of the story is that there are just so many pictures. We left Price, UT at about 0900 on Thursday and got back at 0100 on [...] Day two of the trip didn’t start too early, but we still had quite a bit of adventure Two things you’ll find in abundance in Carbon County, UT are coal mines and railroads. This was a very quick pic taken with my cellphone because I thought Glenn would like it Cindy’s grandma may be 90 [...] Just a few of a regular day at my corner of the world here at Edwards AFB. The thermometers are a recent addition. And I know how much Jeff wanted to see the temp during a normal day out here in the Mojave/Antelope Valley. Kath is on vacation. She asked me to post these from the above undisclosed location. Cactus got toes?!?!?!?!?!? We said farewell to Rod at Falcon Maintenance on Friday evening at Coach’s in Rosamond. The sort of official watering hole for all at Edwards AFB. The Missus made a cake just for Rod. It blew him away. He was constantly thanking her. A good time had by all. We shall miss Rod but know [...] This weekend was a bit trying as was last night – I was just beat. I hope you’ll find it in your hearts to forgive my tardiness in posting these and that you might just like ‘em as well Doyle is Cindy’s nephew who I’ve known for quite a few years now. He’s getting ready [...] So, everyone’s wondering about just where in the heck the post with pics from Thursday’s journey down to the strip is. OK, at least Kath’s got to be wondering about theat The real answer is that I’ve just been runnin’ on Island Time But I’m finally fixing that now Like I said before, [...] So, I got a call last night from one of my old friends who I met while working at Captain’s Cove in Seaport Village. Kristen is an absolute sweetheart Turns out she was rolling into town at around 2130 hours local time and had a few things to do before heading out on the [...] Yeah, I’m a bit late on getting this post published. I managed to get a blister on my foot, a blood blister on my thumb, and a pretty good sunburn too. I know it and it’s my own damn fault and no, I wouldn’t change 99.9% of it I’ve spent most of today recovering [...] Six Months in the Desert. Already. Time Flies? Especially after fifty. Was out of work after February 26. Got notified of being accepted for a position at Edwards AFB the middle of July. Got all the paperwork done. Physical-Check. Got delayed. See next.
