I still can’t believe it’s already been a year since I posted about the passing of Carroll “Lex” LeFon, Capt. USN. Ret. I went back and re-read what I’d posted then and decided to re-post it today: I heard that there was a horrible possibility last night. I found out this morning that it wasn’t [...] It’s not quite midnight yet, but I still want to wish everyone a very happy new year I know 2012 has been a doozy for me and quite a few of my friends. I’ve moved from Las Vegas to rural central Utah, changed jobs, and I GOT A DAUGHTER!!! I’m learning to live in the [...] The presents are all wrapped and tagged and it’s late enough that I’m finally about ready for bed, but I wanted to post something here first. Christmas is so much more special this year because of that little girl in pink sitting in Santa’s lap in the picture above. I can’t say just how awesome [...] Well, it’s that time. I have to finish packing and cleaning tonight. I’ve got the rental truck parked outside and will have Cindy’s friends and family here to load it tomorrow. Many around the United States and most likely quite a few overseas are raising a bottle or a glass in memory of someone many never had the chance to meet in person. Carroll “Lex” Lefon was lost to us earlier this week when the fighter jet he was flying [...] I heard that there was a horrible possibility last night. I found out this morning that it wasn’t just a possibility anymore. It was a fact. A wife had lost her husband. Daughters and a son had lost their father. A nation had lost a patriot, warrior, and leader. I had lost a friend and [...] Our good friend Cindy, proprietor of Snig’s Spot has this one today. It is a funny one. After the tornadoes and such in the part of Georgia she lives in…………..a laugh is a good thing! http://snigs1spot.wordpress.com/2012/02/25/going-to-hell-in-a-little-row-boat/ Some days, it doesn’t take much to entertain us. What can I say?? With Thanksgiving fast approaching, Cindy and I were talking and the subject of yours truly possibly traveling to Price, UT to spend the holiday with her and her family came up. As it turned out, with only a few days remaining we made the decision and I was going to head north. We had to [...] |
