When I said I was going to be working overtime, I wasn’t kidding. It was two hours yesterday and four hours today. I expect to work another four hours overtime on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday as well. I might even be in on the weekend. This isn’t a bad thing in so many ways, but [...] Three days into the year and I swear I feel like I’ve got a bit of a hangover even though I didn’t drink a drop. I put it down to something like pollen in the air or the fake coconut smell they put in the air conditioning at the establishment at which I dined with [...] Well, I finally made it Actually, I got here about 1900 local time or 1800 Pacific. It only took about 5 hours to get here, but I learned a bit more than that on the trip. Thanks to the computer brain in my HHR, I was able to learn that I averaged 64 [...] I’d forgotten that I’d taken this picture when I posted last night Work went pretty darn well today. I’m feeling quite a bit better today, though I can’t quite figure out why. Sleep’s been a problem off and on and last night was no different. Maybe it was the caffeine, but I seemed to be doing rather well and the calls weren’t all that bad Work today… what can I say about it? Well, if you read my previous post, you probably know about how it went and what I had planned for the short duration of leftover daylight remaining after I left. “Recoil Therapy™” is what I call it. Not much to report today. 0800 – 1830 is a long time on the phones when you’re overwhelmed. El Pollo Loco is right next to Sonic and I just happened [...] It looks like I get to have almost as much fun as one can have while undergoing quadruple root canals without anesthesia – I get to go insurance shopping The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning today. Really? You mean you didn’t think we could figure that out on our own? Just driving up Lake Mead towards Cimarron here – looking at the mountains, blue sky, puffy clouds and one [...] So, how’s the weather today in Las Vegas? Well, it’s hot, it’s wet (by our standards), and I’m thankful for air conditioning. |
