My first thought when I saw this was HOLY $*&# !!! I don’t know how often this happens, but I’m glad I wasn’t in the “splash zone” when this incident occured I found this over on Sipsey Street where nothing about the BATFE escapes Mike Vanderboegh’s view. It’s just a snippet and I highly recommend reading the whole darn thing. This morning I heard on the FoxNews. Phil Harris, Skipper of the F/V Cornelia Marie of Deadliest Catch fame, has passed as the result of a massive stroke several days ago. The stroke occurred as the ship was unloading at St.Paul Island in the Bering Sea. Out of sympathy for Kath (and the difficulty of getting a decent photo), I’ll spare y’all the sight of my latest injury. But let’s just say that it HURT!!! More below the fold… I’ve gotta be honest here. I’m happy to have the money, but I’m unbelievably glad I’ve got a three day weekend. Hundreds Ordered to Evacuate in California Mudslides We all start to let our guard down from time to time. We become complacent. It’s human nature. I don’t know what the cause of the trouble is, but something like 28 T3 circuits are down hard. It happened rather suddenly. It’s that bad. I’ve never seen it this bad since I started working in telecommunications repair. We have about five times the normal work load. And I think it might just get worse. I sometimes feel I’m getting a bit old, but maybe I was just raised old fashioned. I’ve talked with several people around the office about music and I’ve been shocked that most had never heard of the groups and performers I grew up watching at the Wild Animal Park during the summer concerts. |
