Took me a while to get that word down pat. My daughter in law, the nurse had it good. I would link to the Wikipedia entry but for some reason wordpress is not letting that happen right now. That is the two dollar word for the procedure I had that day. The wikipedia entry also [...]

MORE OVERTIME!!!

So, I answered an email from a member of management a few days ago and said that yes, I was greedy/stupid/whacked-out enough to take on eight hours of overtime tonight.  He called me tonight and asked if I would be interested in coming in for another eight hours tomorrow.  I agreed.  That’s sixteen hours of [...]

If you are 36 or older, you might think this is truly the best! When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning… Uphill… Barefoot… BOTH ways. yadda, yadda, [...]

Major Richard Winters, RIP

Major Dick Winters has passed at the age of 92. God Speed Major. Many of us only learned of you from Stephen Ambrose and a mini series. But the interviews were amazing. http://thisainthell.us/blog/?p=21783&cpage=1#comment-245502 The link is to the post at This Ain’t Hell.

Doc update

The BP was 152 over 102. Much better than last Wednesday. Got a prescription for a diuretic. I can’t pronounce it. Did the Chest X ray, EKG, blood and urine. Chest and EKG check good. (wipe sweat off brow)  Blood and urine results I get to wait for. Doc Riggs does want to have me [...]

Hernia update and other neat info.

Gonna have surgery. Kind of a given. My Doc is doing up the referral for a general surgeon. I should get that sometime early next week. As a result of the blood pressure being taken both today and yesterday, I have an appointment with Doc Riggs on Monday to discuss that. Yesterday it was 150/103. [...]

Never Too Old

Can’t ever be too old to be a rock and roller — or can you?    This is my new favorite comedian! Note:  Have to say, tho, that when I first got this video in an email I thought it was so darn funny I sent it to some people — not as many thousand as [...]
