Contact/Email

OK, time to update the contact/email page.  Actually, I should’ve done this a while back.  I decided to go with more of a group blog a while back, so there are now three authors on this blog and it seems to have caused a bit of confusion on a couple of occasions, so it’s time to clarify the situation a bit.

I’m the one who started this site a couple of years back and any email you wish to send my way should be sent to jeff@parrotheadjeff.com. I’m just the average freedom and gun loving Jimmy Buffett fan who works tech support for a telecommunications company and who has just enough technical knowledge to be dangerous :P  Although I’ve never served in the military or law enforcement, I am a big fan of those who have and who continue to do so.

Glenn and Kath are the two friends I met over the Internet and invited to add their own posts around the site :D  Glenn’s the retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer who has no trouble speaking his mind and Kath is an east coast gal who adds a bit of a different perspective around these parts from time to time.

It’s easy to get us mixed up at times, but the best way to tell who’s who in the posts is to look near the top of a post and check the byline   If you’d like to get in touch with Glenn or Kath, just send me an email and I’ll make sure it gets to the intended recipient

It may not be the Coconut Telegraph, but we’ll get the message

    Hello,

Via Google I found some beautiful pictures from your journey into the desert (http://parrotheadjeff.com/blog/archives/4102/pictures-a-day-3-june-2009/), I really like the atmosphere of your pictures. In particular I like this one: http://parrotheadjeff.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/063jun0910.jpg

I want to use that picture on a website for our team which participates at a 6000km long low-budget car rallye from Bavaria to Azerbaijan. There are also some passages through the desert, so your picture will describe it best. If you like the idea, that more than 600 people drive 12 days to a place, where they leave their cars as a present, we would appreciate if you allow us to use that picture. Of course you will get the link to the page but unfortunately it will be in German.

    Thanks in advance,
    Malte

    Hello,

You have a picture of a Civil Air Patrol Aircraft on your website (In the Album Aviation Nation 2009 – Sunday – Picture(s) A Day 15 November 2009 – Part II) claiming to be a “Cessna 675 Caravan” I just thought I’d notify you that the information is incorrect. Civil Air Patrol does not operate Caravans, the picture you have is of the Australian Made Gippsland GA8 Air Van. While it would be nice to fly Caravans we, unfortunately, don’t. We also only have members that are 12 years of age and up, Cadets can range from 18 to 21, while Senior Members can range from 18 and up. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the Civil Air Patrol.

    Hope this helps,

    C/2d Lieutenant Adam Reece
    Civil Air Patrol
