Block 52 F-16 Thunderbird Static 319 viewsThis is the first time I have ever seen a Thunderbirds F-16 on static display ANYWHERE. This is one of the new Block 52 Vipers that the Thunderbirds will be using soon. The Thunderbirds have been flying Block 32 Vipers for many years now and parts are becoming scarce. The biggest difference the pilots will likely notice will be the carbon fiber panels at the aft end of the engine replacing polished metal and some more power from the newer engines! Attention to detail is something that the Thunderbirds are known for. Here we see that even the allen head set screw for the static discharge wicks on the stabilizers have been painted to match the rest of the jet. This is something that would likely never be seen and which takes quite a bit of extra effort.PH_Jeff
